Our course has recently been enhanced to include 15 weeks of training, and is designed to give our students maximum “hands-on” experience in my dental practice, rather than 10 weeks. We feel that an additional 5 weeks will give you more confidence in your abilities to gain employment as an entry level Dental Assistant. We are the ONLY course where you will have the opportunity to assist with real patients in a relaxed classroom environment!
Our instructors have over 15 years of experience in dentistry and constantly update our course as techniques and the profession changes. All supplies, materials, teaching aids, handouts, etc. are included in the cost of tuition. In addition, an excellent textbook is used during class and for reading assignments.
You are not expected to already know everything. You are just expected to work hard, study well and learn!
The teaching is stimulating, fast paced, and relies heavily on your participation. The largest size of each group will be one instructor per 10 students. An excellent textbook is used (yes, there are reading assignments and homework) so classroom time can be spent learning dental procedures "hands on".
Here are some reasons to consider our Dental Assisting Program:
- Cost is low in comparison to other schools
- Small classes (fewer students per instructor)
- Only 15 Saturday classes—Keep working while in school
- Learning in a practicing dental office
- CPR Certification, necessary to be a Registered Dental Assistant
- Books are included! You will receive a new Dental Assisting Book and Instrument Pocket Guide
- Study guides for the State test—Jurisprudence, Infection
Control, Radiology
- Job placement assistance—Through the San Antonio District Dental Society
- Funds approved by DoD Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA)
